A constant complaint with windows phone is the lack of apps in comparison with android and iOS. Well, it would be wrong to refute. But in recent times, many good apps have come for the windows OS. And there are quite a few apps that would not make you feel left behind in terms of the availability of apps for windows with respect to their competitors. Here is a list of apps that I feel would make your windows experience worthwhile and won’t make you regret choosing windows over android or iOS.

Apart from the conventional apps like Whatsapp, Twitter, Facebook and others, here is a list of Top 10 Windows Phone 8 apps I think one must have in his or her windows phone.

1. Last.fm

2. Shazam

Shazam

Music is one of the great forces that can bring people from all walks of life together. Most of us love at least one genre of music, and we tend to get along with those who like the same genre(s). Such groups will respect your love for a genre of music if you’re knowledgeable in it, but it’s sad if you can’t even name a song that you want to share with others.

Thankfully, with modern technology, you can quickly figure out what song you’re listening to so you can feed your curiosity and be awesome in front of friends. And that is where Shazam comes into the picture.

Shazam records a small section of the song, and then sends it to Shazam’s mother servers to do all the hard work of determining the song. Once it figures this out (which it does at surprisingly high speed if the recording is of good quality), it’ll spit out different kinds of information about the song, including the name, artist, genre, and even cover art. Shazam has some other useful features too. You can look up the history of songs you recorded, listen to songs that are currently topping the charts and you can also see what your friends are listening to.

So, if you are a music lover, then this is a must-have app. It’ll make life easier and musical.
